Every gift to Washington Hospital Center Foundation, regardless of size, makes a difference to our patients and their loved ones. We are a not-for-profit organization and all gifts are directed towards providing the best possible care for our diverse patients. We have provided more than $220 million in charity care to our community since 2000.

Our team of dedicated doctors, nurses, researchers and other clinical and support staff members serve more than 400,000 patients each year. Your gift supports superior clinical care, scientific research and medical education, and strengthens the health of the area’s most experienced medical center.
Annual Gifts
Gift of cash or appreciated securities made in a given year to be used for general support or for a specific program or project, as the donor directs during that particular year.
Naming Opportunities
Through major giving, there are opportunities for commemorative naming rights of facilities, equipment and programs at the Hospital Center.
Honor Gifts and Memorials
Gifts of any size can be made to honor and thank a special physician, nurse or caregiver. Gifts can also be given to memorialize a loved one or friend.
Matching Gifts
Some employers offer a matching gifts program when an employee makes a gift of his/her own to a not-for-profit organization like Washington Hospital Center. Please let us know if your gift will be matched by your employer.
Planned Gifts
Gifts made through wills and estate planning can feature periodic payments to you or your loved ones, and provide donors with tax savings and other financial benefits.
The Foundation can accept donations of cash, checks or donations by credit cards. We also can accept stock, mutual funds, real estate, retirement plans, life insurance, tangible personal property or will-bequest, which may offer you tax benefits. We can help you determine which vehicle is most appropriate for you, and we will be happy to consult with you and your financial advisor, if you wish.
